上海市世界外国语小学是一所民办学校，于1993年秋开办。2007年12月17日经国际文凭组织(IBO)验收，被认证为IBO PYP学校。现学校拥有境内、境外、PYP三个部。学校拥有规范的教学大楼，先进的教学设施，熟悉学校管理的校长和一支教育教学经验丰富的中外师资队伍。境外部融中西方教育长处于一体，注重基础知识学习和综合能力开发，使学生既具备和国内学生竞争的实力，又具备和国外学生媲美的能力。PYP部以跨学科课程为主并合理使用本土教材，为培养有国际情怀、有质疑能力和创新思维的终身学习者打下扎实基础。

一、招生名额

    2016年秋季招收境外4个班，PYP 3个班。

二、招生对象

1.凡2009年9月1日至2010年8月31日出生，身心健康；

2.符合小学入学条件的港澳台，华侨、华人子女以及外国人。

三、报名办法与时间

1．报名境外班、PYP的家长请于11月19日(星期四)--11月20日(星期五)（上午9：00--下午3：00）来校了解学校办学理念、培养目标和课程设置，并可领取《上海市世界外国语小学境外、PYP一年级预约登记表》（不需带儿童）。11月19日上午9:00—11:00学校设现场咨询。

2．报名境外班、PYP的家长请于11月28日(周六)带儿童根据登记表上的预约时间来校交预约登记表。交表时须带与报名儿童身份相匹配的报名相关材料的原件及复印件（所需材料详见附表，复印件不再退回）。附表：                      

3．学校于12月14日前发出预录取通知，报名儿童四月份须取得由在读幼儿园出具的《上海市小学入学信息登记表》且表中的入学意愿显示为徐汇区（未入园的儿童，可拨打电话54361242 工作日上午8:30——11:00 咨询杨老师）并在规定时间内登录上海市义务教育入学报名系统完成民办小学报名，预录取者将按市教委相关规定办理录取手续；未录取者不再另行通知。

四、奖学金制度

    学校自1994年1月起，建立WFL奖学金制度，每学期发放一次，以奖励优秀学生，获奖学金的学生数约占学生总人数15--20%。

五、收费标准

    2015学年境外学生每学期学费为人民币35000元，PYP学生每学期学费为人民币50000元。2016年学费按物价局核准价为准。

六、招生纪律

    1．学校成立招生领导小组，集体讨论，择优录取。

    2．招生人员拒收礼品，务必廉洁奉公、公平公正。

3．招生工作接受上级教育部门监管，群众监督。

Student enrolment into Shanghai World Foreign LanguagePrimary School in 2016

(International Department and PYP Department)

    ShanghaiWorld Foreign Language Primary School，was originally set up in1993. It currently consists of three separate departments: the LocalDepartment, the International Department, and the PYP Department (InternationalBaccalaureate Organization Primary Years Programme). The PYP Department hasbeen authorized to teach the Primary Years Programme by the IBO (InternationalBaccalaureate Organization) since December 17^th, 2007. WFLPS hasexcellent teaching facilities. It has a reputation for its experienced teachingstaff who provide quality teaching. The International Department has a Chineseand Western Integrated system. It focuses on not only the basic knowledge butalso on developing comprehensive skills. Graduates will have the ability tocompete with both Chinese and foreign students. The IB Primary Years Programmeuses a trans-disciplinary curriculum as a base, supplemented with localmaterials. PYP focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer,both in the classroom and in the world outside. PYP prepares students to beactive participants in a lifelong journey of learning.

2.    School Prerequisites

Students must be born between September 1^st 2009,and August 31^st 2010, have good health and an overseaspassport.

3.    Date and Time

1)     Parents applying toenter the International Department or the PYP Department are invited to come toschool between November 19^th (Thursday) ~ 20^th (Friday)from 9:00am to 3:00pm.The School Mission, Learner Profiles, and Curriculum willbe presented. Registration forms for new year one studentscan be collectedthen.(No children are expected on these days.) Parents will be able to askquestionsonNovember 19^thfrom 9:00 am to 11:00am.

2)     The Registration Formis to be returned on November 28th (Saturday) according tothe booked time on the form. Please bring your child witha photocopy of his/her passport and relevant materials, and a photo. (Thesewill not be returned, the required materials are as the following table)

3)     Parents of successfulcandidates will be contacted before December 14^th 2015. NormalShanghai Education Bureau Procedures will occur. If your child is not acceptedinto W.F.L you will not be contacted. Candidates need to get a form called“Information Form for Shanghai Primary Schools’ Enrollment”, on this form youmust mark Xuhui District. (If you children are not studying in kindergarten,please call Ms Yang at 54361242 on weekdays from 8:30 to11:00). All the studentsneed to finish the registration through the on-line enrollment system ofShanghai Primary Education.

4.    Scholarship

WFL has had a scholarship system in place from January1994. This is awarded to students once a semester to reward effort and application.The scholarship winners account for 15-20% of the students.

5.    Tuition for 2015 academicyear is as follows : (for reference)

        International Department      RMB 35000 per semester

         PYPDepartment            RMB 50000 per semester

   The final tuition of 2016 academic yearis yet to be decided by the Price Bureau.
