上海市世界外国语小学是一所民办学校，于1993年秋开办。2007年12月17日经国际文凭组织(IBO)验收，被认证为IBO PYP学校。现学校拥有境内、境外、PYP三个部。学校拥有规范的教学大楼，先进的教学设施，熟悉学校管理的校长和一支教育教学经验丰富的中外师资队伍。境外部融中西方教育长处于一体，注重基础知识学习和综合能力开发，使学生既具备和国内学生竞争的实力，又具备和国外学生媲美的能力。PYP部以跨学科课程为主并合理使用本土教材，为培养有国际情怀、有质疑能力和创新思维的终身学习者打下扎实的基础。

一、招生名额

    2015年秋季招收境外4个班，PYP 3个班。

二、招生对象

    凡2008年9月1日至2009年8月31日出生，身心健康，符合小学入学条件的港澳台及外籍学生。

三、报名办法与时间

  1．报名境外班、PYP的家长请于11月18日(星期二)--11月19日(星期三)（上午9：00--下午3：00）来校了解学校办学理念、培养目标和课程设置，并可领取《上海市世界外国语小学境外、PYP一年级预约登记表》（不需带儿童）。11月18日上午9:00—11:00学校设现场咨询。

  2．报名境外班、PYP的家长请于11月29日(周六)带儿童根据登记表上的预约时间来校交预约登记表。交表时须带儿童所在国的护照和相关身份证明材料的复印件；一寸报名照片一张（复印件不再退回）。

  3．学校于12月14日前发出录取通知，未录取者不再另行通知。

四、奖学金制度

    学校自1994年1月起，建立WFL奖学金制度，每学期发放一次，以奖励优秀学生，获奖学金的学生数约占学生总人数15--20%。

五、收费标准

    2014学年境外学生每学期学费为人民币30000元，PYP学生每学期学费为人民币40000元。2015年学费按物价局核准价为准。

六、招生纪律

    1．学校成立招生领导小组，集体讨论，择优录取。

    2．招生人员拒收礼品，务必廉洁奉公、公平公正。

3．招生工作接受上级教育部门监管，群众监督。

Shanghai World Foreign Language PrimarySchool，was originally set up in 1993. It currentlyconsists of three separate departments: the Local Department, the InternationalDepartment, and the PYP Department (International Baccalaureate OrganizationPrimary Years Programme). The PYP Department has been authorized to teach thePrimary Years Programme by the IBO (International Baccalaureate Organization)since December 17th, 2007. WFLPS has excellent teaching facilities. It has areputation for its experienced teaching staff who provide quality teaching. TheInternational Department has a Chinese and Western Integrated system. Itfocuses on not only the basic knowledge but also on developing comprehensiveskills. Graduates will have the ability to compete with both Chinese andforeign students. The IB Primary Years Programme uses a trans-disciplinarycurriculum as a base, supplemented with local materials. PYP focuses on thedevelopment of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in theworld outside. PYP prepares students to be active participants in a lifelongjourney of learning.

2. School Prerequisites

Students must be born between September 1st2008, and August 31st 2009, have good health and an overseas passport.

3. Date and Time

1) Parentsapplying to enter the International Department or the PYP Department areinvited to come to school between November 18th (Tuesday) ~ November 19th(Wednesday) from 9:00am to 3:00pm.The School Mission, Learner Profiles, andCurriculum will be presented. Registration forms for new year one studentscanbe collected then.(No children are expected on these days.) Parents will beable to ask questionsonNovember 18thfrom 9:00 am to 11:00am.

2) TheRegistration Form is to be returned on November 29th (Saturday) according tothe booked time on the form. Please bring your child with a photocopy ofhis/her passport and relevant materials, and a photo. (These will not bereturned)

3) Parents ofsuccessful candidates will be contacted before December 14th 2014. If yourchild is not accepted into W.F.L you will not be contacted.

4. Scholarship

WFL has had a scholarship system in placefrom January 1994. This is awarded to students once a semester to reward effortand application. The scholarship winners account for 15-20% of the students.

5. Tuition for 2014 academic year is as follows : (forreference)

  International Department      RMB 30000 per semester

  PYP Department             RMB 40000 per semester

The final tuitionof 2015 academic year is yet to be decided by the Price Bureau.
